The AASBEA team travels around the world at the request of development institutions to meet with small businesses to help them develop their business plans and strategies to compete in a global environment. From the Middle East, to Africa, Latin and South America, the questions posed by small businesses are the same: How can I formulate a winning business plan? How can I work through the maze of laws and regulations in my home country and in foreign countries? How can I obtain financing? How can I find business partners? How can I take advantage of trade agreements? I can I develop my capacity to trade? The AASBEA team has unrivaled experience in over 100 countries helping SMEs answer these questions, which typically fall into three broad categories.
AASBEA is an expert on US government laws and regulations pertaining to trade and federal procurements. Its knowledge in these areas is codified in the books it writes and publishes for SMEs. The Gems of Wisdom book series explain the US federal procurement process. AASBEA books on exporting and importing presents “how to” guides on exporting and importing. These books are an outgrowth on AASBEA’s consulting work for US Government agencies on the subject. |
AASBEA is retained by development institutions and foreign countries to help SMEs develop their capacity to trade. Recent assignments include: Pakistan, Liberia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Namibia, Brazil, Uruguay, and others—typically over 20 countries per year. An example of the work AASBEA undertakes in shown in its publication “How to Sell Into the US Market From Pakistan”, as an outgrowth of a consulting assignment on the subject, AASBEA then wrote and published a book which explains all US import procedures for selected products consumer products, and Pakistan export regulations for exporting those products from Pakistan. |
An area of increasing demand for AASBEA expertise is helping women and youth develop their entrepreneurial talent.
